Get to know Acupuncturist Dr. Asha Randall, who practices in Malibu, California.

Recognized as an authority in acupuncture, Dr. Randall uses an integrative approach in the evaluation and treatment of her patients by utilizing metabolic and neurotransmitter assessments, diagnostic screening procedures, and laboratory testing with Traditional Chinese Medicine protocols. She founded the Malibu Healing Center in California in 2009. 

The Malibu Healing Center is an integrated wellness sanctuary for those seeking quality personalized care as an adjunct to their present health programs. Its team of experts work individually and collaboratively to facilitate the patients’ understanding of the complex interactions between the mind, body, spirit, and environment.

In her practice, Dr. Randall specializes in providing integrative support for cancer and autoimmune issues, infertility, women’s hormone imbalances, GI issues, weight management, and pain management; as well as correcting metabolic irregularities with acupuncture, nutritional and herbal remedies, counseling and guidance.

As for her academic career, Dr. Randall received her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology and Organic Chemistry from Bombay University in India. She worked at the Santa Monica Hospital for several years in the laboratory departments of Microbiology, Hematology, and Chemistry prior to assuming the position of Director of Outpatient Laboratory Services. In 2006, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Master of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the fully accredited and nationally ranked Emperor’s College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Thereafter, she went on to complete her Clinical Doctorate in 2008, having done externships at UCLA, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Venice Family Clinic in Los Angeles; as well as a fellowship at the Kunming Hospital of Traditional Oriental Medicine in China.

The doctor holds a National Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, which permits her to practice nationwide. After meeting the stringent requirements of the American Association of Integrative Medicine, she was awarded Diplomate status with the said association. 

Acupuncture is a form of Complementary Medicine and a key component of Traditional Oriental Medicine in which thin needles are inserted into the body. The practice is also used to maintain general health. Acupuncturists treat a variety of physical and psychological issues like internal medicine hypertension or anxiety.
