A Journey of Dedication and Compassion
Maryna is a certified physician assistant currently in practice at Dr. Backer Ear, Nose & Throat, working with patients in the Enumclaw and Bonney Lake areas. With a background in respiratory therapy and extensive experience in critical care, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the practice.
Born and raised in Ukraine, she made the courageous decision to move to the United States at the age of 14. She pursued her Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy from the University of Missouri, laying the foundation for her future in healthcare.
After working as a respiratory therapist for 4 years, caring for adult and pediatric critical care patients at prestigious medical centers such as Swedish Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center, Maryna decided to further her education. She attended the Physician Assistant Program at West Liberty University in Wheeling, WV, where she honed her skills and passion for providing high-quality patient care.
Since graduating from the MSPAS program, she has devoted an additional 7 years to serving as a PA-C hospitalist at Swedish Medical Center in the Seattle area. Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, she has established herself as a trusted healthcare provider known for her expertise in ENT, asthma, allergies, and cosmetic skin care.
Despite her demanding career, Maryna finds balance and joy in her personal life. On her days off, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors through hiking and running, as well as cherishing precious moments with her husband and two sons. Her favorite vacation spot is Hawaii.
