It’s quite possible that the alcohol may have absorbed into the contacts. Rinsing your eye out is important. Get some artificial tears to put in your eyes. Does your eyes still hurt? Or feel light sensitive to the sun? I probably would recommend going to see an eye doctor to make sure there wasn’t any damage done to the surface of your eyes.

If high blood pressure is high, your vision can fluctuate and have blurry vision. And when blood pressure drops and back to normal vision gets better. However, if vision is blurry at high and normal, then it may not be blood pressure influenced. With high blood pressure, usually also comes with other symptoms, possibly light headedness, sweaty palms, nauseated, etc.

Blurred vision that is correctable by a prescription may be able to be corrected by contact lenses. To really know you would need to get a comprehensive eye exam. Blurred vision can also be caused by many other reasons, such as systemic conditions like diabetes, blood pressure, etc., or other ocular conditions. So, it varies, but an exam will be able to see what is causing the blurred vision.

Any sudden blur is caused for vision check asap.

The eye exam is where we check the eye healthy and make sure everything is still fine. No matter what, always good to do your eye exam. You’ll be surprised a lot of things can pop up even for a general check-up.

To answer your question, yes. If you are diabetic and not controlled, you do have a higher risk of getting cataracts sooner than later.

It does sound like a possible eye infection if it’s an unusual amount of discharge. Possibly bacterial infection. He should be taken to be seen by a pediatric optometrist.

Have you gone for a prescription check since the cataract surgery? I would probably start there and see if your vision can be improved with a prescription. Then, if not, also go for a second opinion by another cataract and retina specialist to look at the lens implants they put in and check your macula, respectively. Vision decrease can caused by multiple parts. Swollen lids and crust can be looked at by the general ophthalmologist and treated/managed separately. Depending on the place you went to they may have a team of specialist that may be able to tackle that for you. If you go in there telling them about your swollen lids they will focus on that for you.

How advanced is your Glaucoma? If very advanced, it can influence vision as well.

If it’s relatively recent that you had the corrective eye surgery, I would recommend going back to where you got the surgery to have an evaluation and ask them questions about it. There are many factors and reasons that the surgeon can help answer, or possibly need further enhancement treatment.

I would go back to the surgeon that did the procedure for a follow up to address her concerns. They may be able to do some enhancements, but before then, also to evaluate and give reasons as to why the vision may not be as clear as she hoped. There could be multiple reasons, but the surgeon should be able to give some answers.

Are you talking about with glasses on or physically looks different? If you’re talking about through glasses, to minimize the way things look between the two eyes, can do aspheric/digital lenses. That should help.

There can be many reasons for this. I would recommend getting your eyes looked out for a comprehensive eye exam. Was it something suddenly happening? Ever get anything in your eye? Any infection from the outdoors? Have you been getting enough sleep? So these questions and depending on answers can lead to many solutions. Since I can’t see you, it’ll be difficult to assess without more info.

There can be many reasons for the slight blur in both distance and near. Because we don’t know everything that is happening in terms of when the occurrences have been happening it’s best to have a comprehensive exam to evaluate everything.

Floaters can happen for many reasons. Increase in floaters are a good reason to come in for an eye exam to get dilated to make sure everything in the eye is healthy and make sure your floaters are age related vs. other ocular reasons. Have you noticed any flashes? If you do, you want to come in sooner than later.
