“Breast leakage?”
My wife is 62 years old. For the past couple of days, her left nipple has been itching. This morning she noticed a small amount of clear liquid come out. What could cause this and is it a serious problem?

To cut to the chase, itchiness, and discharge even though may not be unusual. Breast cancer comes in various forms, and presents more than the symptoms you listed. Having said that, follow up with your PCP for a thorough exam and if needed to refer for a mammogram.

Can be harmless but exam by MD and mammography is required
If the itching is associated with a skin condition she should see a gynecologist.
