Can a child get a CT scan under anesthesia?

Yes absolutely. The anesthesiologists know handle children very well and they would just need to reduce the amount of dye that you typically would use an adult depending on the age of the child.
Yes, it is just a dye to see clearer. It won't harm her at all.
Good day, staying still is something that needs to be done for certain types of scans to obtain the results. It is up to the radiologist to determine if a patient will need some type of anesthesia or a mild sedation to perform the procedure. This would be done in a safe and monitored environment.
Yes. There are risks associated with it. Most times a mild sedative will be enough. Every child is different.
they can at a children's hospital
Yes, of course.Sent from my Galaxy
Yes but sometimes the scan is so fast, they may lay still with encouragement
Yes she can. Your doctor can order it with anesthesia.
Yes assuming that your daughter has no major medical contraindications to general anesthesia she can get a CT scan under anesthesia. However, this is not done at all hospitals, so you might have to go somewhere specific that has pediatric anesthesiologists who are able to provide this service.
This should be discussed with your Pediatrician
