Shock-like pain?

I'm starting softball tryouts tomorrow and sometimes when I throw the ball too hard I get this shock-like pain in my lower right side area. I'm anxious about tryouts but worried about what this could be.

You should consult a physician.
Likely oblique. Look up core strengthening exercises and do those regularly. Very common in throwing athletes.
Sounds like a neurologic injury such as a compression or more likely a stretch. If it continues, see a sports physician.
You should have your shoulder looked at by your orthopedic specialist or physical therapist for proper assessment. They are able to ascertain if you should be worried or if you can resume your sporting activities.
What you are describing is neural pain. You must do a proper warm up and cool down for the shoulder. If the pain does not go away after a proper warm up, seek a local PT to do a consultation. Good luck in the tryout!!!
