I would see a chiropractor for a hernia. You can also see a physical therapist.
I generally use cox distraction method to help the disc to reset and then ultrasound to take down swelling or inflammation in the disc. <https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> Virus-free.www.avast.com <https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> <#DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2>

The best treatment usually is to be seen and evaluated by physician specializing in this area like a Non-Surgical Sports Medicine Physician. The doctor will assess if physician directed exercises, medications, back brace, topical treaments, acupuncture, injections or even physical therapy or chiropractic are appropriate for your specific case. Questions, like this one that references a problem without providing detailed information as was part of your question can only hint at possibilities. There are multiple aspects to any disc herniation including how it happened, which part of the spine from cervicals to lumbars; is the herniation new or older; is the herniation to the left, right, or central, what are past treatments (if any); what is your lifestyle and what nature of movements give you a little release, if any, etc. Therefore, the answer to your question is to have a thorough evaluation with a Chiropractor or Medical Doctor that you trust and is totally knowledgeable with your nature of herniation.
Hello, That depends on the area of herniation and the severity. An evaluation/exam is recommended. Thank you, Dr. Churchill
