Acupuncture with herbs, and sometimes massage, can treat and help relieve stress, anxieties and depression. I suggest you try it.
Acupuncture and herbal medicine can be very helpful for depression
Hi,

Depression's always combined with some organ disfunction, for example, a weak heart or an inflamed liver. We can do acupuncture first, then combine herbal medicine and ear seeds for best results.
Acupuncture works really well for all emotional issues, including depression. I highly recommend you go for a series of treatments. It's one of my favorite things to treat because it works so well.
In my experience, much more effective than medication.
Acupuncture can be very effective for depression. I would suggest an herbal formula to support your pattern as well.
Acupuncture mainly goes after the root of a problem and not just the symptom. As a result, when the cause of the depression is correctly addressed, the depression is effectively treated. This is a very different approach than, say, using a medicated drug like Zoloff to treat the symptom of depression only.
Acupuncture is very effective for depression. I treat depression all the time.

Acupuncture can be very effective for depression. Consult an acupuncturist to get a differential diagnosis as to the root cause. Often, depression can be helped by Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) as well. Combining CBT with acupuncture is what we do in my clinic, with good results.
Thank you for your question. Acupuncture is often used successfully as part of treatment for depression.
Try it first, then discuss it with your acupuncturist. I think it helps.

Acupuncture is extremely effective for the treatment of depression. But the influence of your parents, your family, the school system, your friends and the way you came into the world and was taught to love of hate yourself, also has a mayor impact on how effective my acupuncture treatment will be. If negative factors persist in your life, if you have lack of discipline in focusing your mind away from destructive emotions, if you do not practice thankfulness every day, do not practice respect and discriminate between what is right and what is wrong, my acupuncture treatment would just be a band-aid. Acupuncture has great effectiveness in treating depression.

Very!
Hi. It depends on lots of factors. 1st is how experienced your practitioner in treating depression, 2nd is how severe your condition is and if there any underlying pathology. I know practitioners that did miracles when treating severe depression, so just make sure to find the right one.
Yes. It takes more than one session.
Alone, acupuncture can help, but it is more affective when combined with mindful practices and proper diet.
Acupuncture can be very effective in treating depression if you can keep an open mind. Your acupuncturist will likely work with treating your spirit, and this may take some explanation. Don't be afraid to ask questions or for clarification. Conditions of the spirit can be complex and take time to heal so be patient with your practitioner and yourself.
Acupuncture can adjusts body system, regulates the qi and blood, balance the yin and yang of the body, that's why it can treat depression.
Acupuncture is very effective for treating emotional trauma, such as depression.
It is very effective if you find someone who has good experience working with emotional issues. If your depression is clinical and you are on medications, you will need to have your prescribing doctor know of your seeing an L.Ac. so that the meds can be adjusted as needed.

Be sure to find a licensed practitioner in your area, an L.Ac. not just some doctor that "also does acupuncture". You can ask around for referrals and feel free to switch to someone else if you do not find success with your first choice.

Keep in mind it may take a while to work through your condition and though you may reduce treatments eventually, it may take a few to start seeing results.

Good luck
In mild to moderate depression, studies show acupuncture is at least as effective as the commonly used medications (SSRIs - prozac/paxil/zoloft). In the long run, after factoring in cost and the potential for side-effects or adverse-events related to the common prescription medications, acupuncture is often the clear choice.

Acupuncture also integrates well with psychotherapy or talk therapy for depression. Studies show this combo usually beats prescription medication and, again, the patient is at much less risk of side-effect or adverse-event.

For something like depression, it's fairly important to see a provider who understands the Chinese diagnostic model - in other words, you want a board certified and state licensed acupuncturist. If you're not in CA, go to NCCAOM.org and use their "Find a Practitioner" link to get someone local to you.
