Pediatrician Questions Autism

Is autism a leaning disability?

I'm just wondering if autism is considered a learning disability? I know the condition does affect a child's ability to learn in some ways, but does this mean it's a disability?

Autism is a group of developmental disabilities that ranges from mild to profound. The degree of impairment will determine if the child would qualify for disability benefits. Also, testing is done at school to see if they need special services or not. Most children with autism need speech services and behavioral therapy.
