No second period?

I got my first period in January and I haven't had it since. I do gymnastics and weigh 150lbs. I practice nine hours a week and need to know what to do to get my period back. There is absolutely no way I could be pregnant. I would like to know what's wrong or what I can do to get it back.

It is not uncommon to have irregular cycles in the first year after your first period, I would monitor it for a few more months, if after 9-12 months you are continuing to have irregular cycles you should see a GYN doctor who can check some hormones and evaluate things further.
When first getting your periods, they can be very irregular. Also if you are an athlete, its normal for your periods to go away due to your exercise routine.
If you have had unprotected intercourse please take a pregnancy test. If not pregnant, it is normal to have irregular cycles when you are young as your body and hormones are maturing. If you go more than 3 months without a cycle then please go see your physician have your hormones checked. Given your level of activity, you may be at risk for what is called the athlete triad, which is a disruption of your hormones due to stress from physical activity like exercise.
It is not unusual to have irregular periods when you first start having them, so most likely, you don’t have to do anything and your period will come back on its own over the next few months. However, you could also be working out enough to stop your normal cycle. That is fine; it will come back when you are not training so much. In the meantime, enjoy not having your periods. They are nothing but a pain, so if you get to skip a few, that’s lucky for you. The biggest problem with you is not knowing whether it is going to start soon or not, so you have to be prepared – always have pads with you and maybe even a change of underwear and pants in your backpack, just in case. Once your periods settle in and become more regular, you can plan for them, but for now, just be prepared all the time. And, as much as possible, don’t wear white.
