Emergency Physician Questions Heart Attack

What are the signs of a heart attack?

My grandfather had a mild heart attack, and thankfully, survived. But he had symptoms of it before it happened. What are the most common signs of a heart attack so that we can catch it early?

Women, individuals with diabetes, and younger adult patients may present without classic chest pain but have symptoms of shortness of breath, weakness, nausea and vomiting, palpitations, dizziness or fainting. Elderly patients more frequently have an atypical presentation, including silent cardiac event, if they have uneasiness or not feeling well, they need to be evaluated by medical practitioner.
