Indigestion is caused by a mismatch between the production of acid in the stomach for the digestion of food and the close off of the cardia, which is the mouth of the stomach. When the acid from the stomach passes the cardia and ventures into the lower part of the esophagus, indigestion is felt. This phenomenon is known as ructus, commonly known as heartburn. There are safe medicines with low side effect profiles that can dampen this, but the best route is to find what it is that causes your indigestion, and avoid these elements. You may need to take a few days with only a bare minimum of energy intake, for example oat soup and water, when your stomach becomes easy, you can start adding different foodstuffs, until you find one that causes your indigestion, in this fashion, you can find what it is you need to avoid.
Indigestion is not a well defined term and is not often used in a medical context. Instead of guessing what you mean by indigestion, it would be better to know what specific symptoms are present before being able to comment on their origin.
