    Unfortunately your situation is too complex to be able to give you a good answer just from a few sentences of description. A thorough history and physical exam, as well as some imaging is probably going to be needed. My major concern for you, although it may not be the source of your problem directly, is that it sounds like you have a chronically infected total knee replacement if you have to be on lifelong suppressive antibiotics. Unless there is some major reason why they can't do it, typical treatment for that is to remove the implant, place an antibiotic cement spacer in your knee for 6 weeks while you are on IV antibiotics, then go back in and remove the spacer and put a new knee replacement in. It's a big deal yes, but so is having a chronically infected implant that can infect your bone... As far as your bilateral foot pain and left leg pain, if you say that you can't support yourself then i would make sure you get your lower back looked at to make sure that's not the source.   • Cortisone Shot and Nausea

    That is not a typical side effect from a cortisone injection based on my experience with them. The most common side effects tend to be s transient rise in blood sugars (especially in diabetics), and since cortisone is a stress steroid I've heard some people can feel like they are jittery or on edge.   • Should I be worried?

    I would not be worried, that's pretty normal for any open wound. The skin functions as a barrier to keep bad things out of the body, but also to keep fluid in the body. Whenever you have a break in the superficial skin layer like the abrasion you have on your shoulder, it's normal you have leakage of a clear yellow fluid coming from the wound. That's the normal color of your body's fluid (water mixed with some proteins and other stuff). It's also normal to have a little pink color around the edge of the wound, that's your body's normal inflammatory response as well. As long as the fluid doesn't turn into a thicker whitish-yellow fluid and the redness doesn't start to spread you should be fine. Just shower normally and clean it with soap and water, then apply a bandage to keep it clean and keep things from rubbing up against it. Of note, you might get a little layer of yellowish tissue on the wound, which is also normal. That's some of that protein sticking to the wound. Again just keep it clean and covered and it should do fine, especially for a 16-year-old. READ MORE

  • Fractured wrist

    Go see a doctor and get an x-ray. At 7 months the risks of getting an x-ray to the development of your baby are pretty much gone, that was in the first trimester when it's the nervous system and internal organs were forming. On top of that, they'll cover your belly with lead to protect the baby. If you have a fractured wrist and it heals wrong you could have chronic pain, and then how easy will it be to carry your baby?   • Cool sensation running down tendon after extensor tendoniti

    Hi, If in fact, you developed extensor tendinitis in the foot I can tell you from treating these can take a long time to get better. Usually, I'll incorporate some kind of immobilization (boot) with topical and oral anti-inflammatories. In really bad cases I'll even consider a short course of an oral steroid. The feelings of cold or a wet sensation are usually symptoms that are associated with nerve issues, however. If where you are feeling that sensation in the webspace between the big and second toe then it could be your deep peroneal nerve that is giving you grief. That runs up the top of the foot and up your leg too, so maybe some of what you were experiencing initially was related to that? Nerve issues can be tough to deal with too, as options are limited. If the nerve is/was being compressed somewhere (usually the top of the foot for that nerve) then you have to figure out a way to relieve that pressure. If it's a generalized neuropathy however then medication management may be the answer. READ MORE
