Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Mihu was a board-certified neurologist who served patients at her private practice, Angelina Mihu MD P.C., in Woodside, New York. As she has recently passed away, this is written in dedication to her. 

The doctor was board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists. Additionally, she was board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

A 1999 graduate of the Pontifical Catholic University Madre and Maestra Faculty of Health Sciences in the Dominican Republic, Dr. Mihu relocated to the United States in order to further her training. There, she completed her residency in internal medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York, followed by her residency in neurology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. She also completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System.
