If you noticed sexual changes in yourself, how did you cope?

I really haven't noticed any sexual changes because I haven't had a partner in years. My surgery was a small lumpectomy. There is a sore spot that probably is from irritation to a nerve from either the surgery or the radiation treatment that I had.

Were there any changes in your relationships?

I have thought about what it would be like to have a sex partner. My thoughts have had nothing to do with my breast surgery but rather how things would work down below. I have not had sex in over 26 years.

What has breast cancer taught you about sexuality in general?

A woman can think of herself as beautiful no matter what has happened to her body. She is brave to go through surgery, radiation, and chemo. This is not easy for many women. I sometimes close my eyes and think of myself as the person, not the old woman that had 3 different cancers. It's almost like I am woman hear me roar.
