Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Kazi earned her medical degree in 1997 at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences in Sindh, Pakistan. After her relocation to the United States, she conducted a residency in psychiatry at St. Elizabeth's Hospital (2004 - 2008), followed by a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Children's National Medical Center at George Washington University (2008 - 2010). 

Dr. Kazi became board-certified in psychiatry  by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. (ABPN) is a nonprofit corporation that was founded in 1934 as a method of identifying the qualified specialists in psychiatry and neurology.
