Get to know Dentist Dr. Maryam Talaie, who serves patients in California.

Specializing in dentistry, Dr. Talaie has devoted her 20+ year career to educating and treating patients with gentle and minimally invasive dental care. Her gentle approach and focus on comfort in a pleasant environment are delivered as an integral part of one’s visit at Century Smile in Culver City, California. 

She took over the long-standing dental office in 2010 and immediately revamped the outdated practice. She brought in experienced and knowledgeable staff, updated equipment, and re-focused her standard of care to prevention and overall body health.

With oral health as a top priority, Century Smile specializes in preventative, cosmetic, family, and general dentistry, using the highest quality and safest materials for patients’ dental needs. Specialty procedures such as dental implants, veneers, teeth bleaching, wisdom teeth removal, clear braces/Invisalign™, and root canal therapy are available in-house by appointment. 

As a graduate of the University of Southern California, Dr. Talaie is extremely proficient in the field of dental sciences. She continues to stay current with the latest technology and research on the safest dental methods and materials available.

In addition to being board-certified through the American Board of Dental Public Health, she is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Western Los Angeles Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy. 

Involving herself in the community, Dr. Talaie participates in assisting children in need, providing pro bono dental services, and preventative care. Her services have recently been auctioned as part of a children’s service program, and she continues to educate the public about oral-systemic health, or the correlation between a healthy mouth and its importance to overall health.

In honor of her expertise, Dr. Talaie has been named one of Southern California’s Top Dentists and a Top Invisalign Dentist of 2019 by Los Angeles magazine. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Farsi.
