Their goal is to take oral care to new heights by promoting proper dental care and hygiene for their patients. They are able to achieve this by offering an exceptional full-service dental practice with additional focus on diagnostic, implant, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry.
Known to promote proper dental care and hygiene, Dr. Marder provides a comprehensive approach to oral medicine while emphasizing the importance of good oral health and the value of the excellent dentistry that he provides, thus setting patients at ease. As a third generation dentist, he has been continuing this way of practicing dentistry since graduating with his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1996.
While at Tufts, he earned recognition and awards in the areas of dental implants and prosthetics (crowns or bridges for your mouth). Following graduation, he achieved post-graduate training in cosmetic dentistry from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He also completed advanced training in endodontics (root canal procedures) and a post-graduate program for implantology at New York University.
Thereafter, he went into private practice working alongside his father, Dr. Michael Z. Marder—a world-renowned clinician, researcher, and educator—at their New York City dental office. In 2001, he opened another dental office in New City, New York near where he lives in Rockland County.
From 1996 until 2008, Dr. Marder taught at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, eventually attaining the level of Assistant Clinical Professor. He developed a technique for restoring dental implants which was published in the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry.
Among his professional affiliations, he remains a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the New York County Dental Society, and the Ninth District Dental Society.
Dedicated to improving the oral health and smiles of individuals and families, Dr. Marder has been resolute in his pursuit for unparalleled care and has accumulated hundreds of hours of post-doctoral educational courses on the latest dental techniques and technology. Therefore, from a simple filling to complex root canals and full smile makeovers involving implants or veneers, he is able to offer more options for his patients.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
Always giving back to the community, Dr. Marder enjoys talking to children about the importance of oral health. He has donated his time and clinical skill with People to People of Rockland County, which is Rockland’s largest social service agency that helps the poor and the hungry.
