What happens if you don't replace your breast implants?
There is no rule that you need to have your implants replaced every 10 years. The current FDA recommendation is for patients with silicone implants to get either an MRI or high resolution ultrasound 5-6 years after placement, then every 2-3 years. READ MORE
How tight should my post surgery bra be?
I have my patients wear what feels comfortable. In fact if you are having a straight forward augmentation I think it helps your implants settle quicker if you let gravity do it’s thing. READ MORE
How long does pain last after breast augmentation?
I would expect most of your pain should be gone by now. It’s not unusual to feel tight for several weeks, but if you are still having pain that is requiring you to still need narcotics I would recommend being evaluated by your surgeon to make sure you are healing properly. READ MORE
How soon can you color your hair after a facelift?
I allow my patients to resume styling their hair a couple weeks after their surgery provided their incisions are completely healed. It’s not too unusual to have some areas of scabbing, particularly around, the hair line. In this case it’s best to wait until the scabbing is all resolved. READ MORE
How long does the tip of your nose stay hard after rhinoplasty?

What is the most painful plastic surgery procedure?
In my experience I think tummy tucks probably experience the most discomfort. That being said, the vast majority of my patients are able to control their discomfort with over the counter medications within a few days of surgery. READ MORE
How long should I take off work after liposuction?
That kind of depends on your line of work and the amount of liposuction you are having performed on you. With liposuction there are no major incisions to heal so if you have a sedentary job you could potentially be back to work almost right away. On the other hand if you have extensive liposuctioning and a very physical job you may need more time to recover. READ MORE
Are you awake during a blepharoplasty?
You can be if you choose. I routinely do blephs in my office with local anesthetic and my patients tolerate it very well. This has the benefits of quicker recovery and it’s considerably more economical as there is no anesthesia or surgery center costs. However, if you are totally freaked out by the idea of being awake it may be worth the extra expense. READ MORE
