Waseem A. Bhatti, MD, is a vascular and interventional radiologist who diagnoses and treats patients at Summit Medical Group in Florham Park, NJ. He joined the practice in 2018 and serves as Medical Director of Interventional Radiology. Furthermore, Dr. Bhatti is the Section Chief of Interventional Radiology and Vice Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Overlook Medical Center of Atlantic Health System in Summit, NJ, which he joined in 2012. Special clinical interests include cross-sectional body imaging and interventions, CT and MR angiography, emergency multi-modality imaging, and nuclear medicine. Board certified and fellowship trained Interventional Radiologist Dr. Bhatti currently practices with Overlook Medical Center and is affiliated with Summit Medical Group. Dr. Bhatti became an interventional radiologist because he is passionate about patient care, enjoys being at the forefront of medicine and technology, and is devoted to helping advance the role of minimally invasive procedures for diagnosing and treating disease.
Overlook Medical Center is home to some of New Jersey’s top doctors, offering cutting-edge research, advanced technology and treatments in a compassionate, patient-centered environment. Dr. Bhatti completed his undergraduate degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology where he graduated Cum Laude with his degree in Bachelor of Arts degree from Biology. Furthering his education he graduated with his Master of Science from Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences. He then graduated with his Medical Degree from the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences in 2006, giving him over a decade of experience in his field. After obtaining his medical degree he completed his internship with the Overlook Medical Center followed with his Diagnostic Radiology residency at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences where he was named chief resident. Furthering his training he completed his Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship with Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
Dr. Bhatti is certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. The ABR is an independent, not-for-profit organization and is one of 24 national medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). We were founded to protect the public by assessing and certifying doctors who meet specific educational, training, and professional requirements.
To stay up to date in his field, Dr. Bhatti remains a professional member of the Radiological Society of North America and American Board of Radiology. He has delivered invited presentations for the Society of Interventional Radiology, American Society of Neuroradiology, and American Society of Spine Radiology.
When not working, Dr. Bhatti enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
