Dr. Arvidson has been in practice for more than 33 years and is currently serving patients within her own private practice located in Seattle, Washington. Anne Marie Arvidson’s career in psychiatry began in 1980 when she graduated with her Medical Degree from Boston University. Following her graduation, Dr. Arvidson went on to complete her residency in 1983 at Harvard University. Dr. Arvidson feels that she enjoys a successful career today as a result of making a difference, patient care, and her desire to help her patients get better. When she is not assisting patients, Dr. Arvidson enjoys reading all major medical publications and research in order to remain at the forefront of a challenging field. Psychology is the science of behavior and mind, including conscious and unconscious phenomena, as well as feeling and thought. It is an academic discipline of immense scope and diverse interests that, when taken together, seek an understanding of the emergent properties of brains, and all the variety of epiphenomena they manifest. As a social science it aims to understand individuals and groups by establishing general principles and researching specific cases.
