Dr. Desai is a board-certified family physician. He is the staff physician & Clinic Medical Director of Legacy Community Health in Houston, Texas.

As a full-service, Federally Qualified Health Center, Legacy identifies unmet needs and gaps in health-related services and develops client-centered programs to address those needs. A United Way-affiliated agency since 1990, it currently provides adult primary care, pediatrics, dental care, vision services, behavioral health services, OB/GYN and maternity, vaccinations and immunizations, health promotion and community outreach, wellness and nutrition, and comprehensive HIV/AIDS care.

Graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemical & Biophysical Science from the University of Houston in 2006, Dr. Desai went on to earn his medical degree from the Medical University of Lublin in 2011.

Furthering his education, he completed his Master of Business Administration degree in Healthcare Management at Davenport University in 2016, and his residency in family medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2019.

Focusing on the optimization of health and wellness, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Continuously advancing his speciality, Dr. Desai is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, and the Texas Medical Association.

Through the American Heart Association, he is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
