Cardiology is a specialized field of medicine composed of a wide spectrum of heart and circulatory disorders. The practice of Cardiology includes medical diagnoses and treatments of multiple issues including: congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology. Cardiology can entail both the use of non - invasive and invasive techniques. For example coronary angiograms is a technique that Interventional Cardiologists perform. 

Dr Patel has continually provided exceptional care to his patients managing both General Medicine and Cardiovascular diseases. He is able to perform both invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures for his patients. 

Dr Patel’s background varies from graduating Cum Laude from the Stern School of Business at New York University in Manhattan, to earning his medical degree from the SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He completed his Internal Medicine and Cardiology training at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Jersey. During his time there, he was also a recipient of Excellence in Clinical teaching awards nominated by his medical students and peers. 

Following his training, he attained board certification in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, adult comprehensive echocardiography and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization. Dr Patel also manages Peripheral Vascular disorders. He has attained certification in Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). RPVI documents the highest standard in vascular ultrasound documentation.

To conclude, Dr Patel is a Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI).
