Yes. There are several causes of sleep difficulties and Chiropractic strives to find and eliminate the cause.
There are many reasons for insomnia; without seeing a person it is impossible to determine the cause for insomnia and how much chiropractic would help.
Hi there,        A visit to the chiropractor may be able to help with any musculoskeletal disorders that may be affecting your ability to fall or stay asleep. Best, Kam
One of my favorite side effects of chiropractic care is actually sleep improvement. This is because chiropractic care directly affects a system called the Autonomic Nervous System, which controls our rest/digest and fight/flight cycles meaning that when it's working properly, sleep will too. Insomnia is a classic sign of neurological dysfunction causing the body's sleep-wake cycle to become irritated. I'd recommend getting in contact with a trained chiropractor near you (www.pxdocs.com) who can help measure your nervous system and improve your sleep.
Insomnia can happen for many reasons. If your brain won't stop and you keep thinking of everything in a tornado of thoughts, you'll want to practice meditation and stop all electronic activity a few hours before bed. If you watch TV or play on the computer/phone all the way up to sleep, then you're brain will be stimulated at that time. If you wind down, you may have a better time. Chiropractic can help by getting your body back into proper alignment so the proper circulation and flow of nutrients are happening. It can also relax you by relieving tension. Make sure to get plenty of water and consider supplementing with magnesium and potassium. You may also try melatonin and CBD.
There are many reasons for insomnia including medical, psychological, and habits. In the presence of musculoskeletal pain, chiropractor manipulation will reduce pain, improve sleep quality and decrease insomnia. It is a better choice than pharmaceutical if combined with good
sleep hygiene and bedtime habits.
If you are having pain that a chiropractor could address, that might be a reasonable option. In the absence of pain, they would have no role supported by guidelines or controlled studies.
I’ve never read of any manipulation that can help someone with insomnia unless their insomnia is caused by chronic pain.
