nope
that's an old wives tale...
No it will not. However, not wearing a prescription for myopia and not being able to see distance can cause you many problems especially driving.
Glasses to correct myopia do not damage the eyes. They fix your vision when when the glasses are on.
They shouldn’t if you wear proper corrections
Myopia glasses will never damage your eyes. Myopia is a refractive eye condition also called near-sightedness. There are different levels (different numbers) for anyone that has myopia. Depending upon the amount of myopia as well as the age of someone with myopia, distance vision is blurry while near vision is clear. If there are certain amounts of astigmatism associated with the myopia, the near vision can also be blurry. With glasses or contact lenses, the lenses focus light and what you need to see directly onto the retina of your eyes, "the film of your camera". Without corrective lenses, things may be blurry because what you are looking at is focusing in front of the retina and things may appear out of focus. I would suggest that you see an optometrist in order to have them do a refraction which checks your prescription and your "numbers", and for the optometrist to do a full medical evaluation in order to check your eye pressures, your optic nerves and retina, and the overall health of the other, many structures of your eyes. Good luck and best wishes.
No they shouldn’t
