How often should a diabetic get a pneumonia shot?

I am a 17 year old male. I want to know how often should a diabetic get a pneumonia shot?

Every patient with diabetes should get the influenza vaccine once a year
That’s a good question but I don’t have all of the information I need to give you the best possible answer. Anyway, if you had a Prevnar 13 immunization as a child (less than 2 years old typically), you don’t need another one at this point although it’s always best to check with your doctor as there may be extenuating circumstances that I’m not aware of. If you’ve not had the pneumonia shot you should get the Prevnar 13 now. Also, remember to get a flu shot every year.
Hope this helps.
