My daughter is obese. Is obesity a mental? What are the treatment options?

obesity is not strictly a mental health consideration, though our mental health does have a primary role in the development and behaviors surrounding food intake and nutrition. I would consider therapeutic interventions and support regarding the primary thoughts, emotions, and behaviors driving the current weight status with a person centered, self compassion based approach. There are also great movements to honor beauty and health at every size, which helps empower self love for all people, regardless of size.
