Nephrologist (Kidney Specialist) Questions Kidney Failure

Do excessive greens cause kidney failure?

I read in an article recently that having excessive greens in your diet could increase potassium levels in the body and in turn cause a kidney failure. Is this possible?

If your kidney function is normal, excessive greens with high potassium like spinach, Swiss chard, and bok choy won’t cause high potassium in the blood.
