Cystic fibrosis is a life altering disease. How do you approach your life and future living with it?

Every day is a step. I live in the moment and I try my best to keep myself healthy with my CF. I never know when it could be my last day, so I don't allow myself to over think it. The difficult days are not fun, but they make the good days feel better. I love life, my disease won't affect my way of thinking.

How do you stay positive and prepare for the unexpected?

I stay positive by thinking one day at a time. I'm lucky enough to be alive. The days I become hospitalized I always try to keep my head up and think about how I need to keep my lungs healthy, my weight okay, and my mood positive. Not every day being hospitalized is full of happiness, but I can't just live in negativity.

What do you want others to know about cystic fibrosis?

I am just like you. Don't take petty on me, I'm just trying to live my life like you are. No, my disease isn't contagious. Yes, I cough a lot, and it's not cause I have the flu, that's how I am. No I don't starve myself, I eat a lot I just cant gain weight like an average person. I have different obstacles in life but that's what makes me strong.
